Through this source you can search for people who are depicted in a photograph, picture, postcard, engraving in the image bank of the Zeeuws Archief.

At present only a few collections of images are linked to the personal search entrance Zeeuwen Gezocht. The persons are identified with the role 'Persoon op afbeelding = Person on image'. Through this link, it is possible to find not only the certificate of birth, marriage and/or death, but also his photograph of his portrait or his family.

An example:
Francois de Reu, the face of the website Search Zeeuwen. Type in the extended search form: Last name: Reu / Insertion: the / First name: Francois and leave the search field Source blank. You will receive all entries where the name of Francois de Reu listed, including two pictures showing his person, his death certificate and the registration of his detention in the prison in 1875 in Oostburg.
